S.T.A.R.S. is a police force from Raccoon City, and the name stands for Special Tactics and Rescue Service. Its an EX military which operate both in Anti Terrorism and increasingly potent Urban Crime.

S.T.A.R.S. operate in two teams: Alpha and Bravo. This has a total of twelve members in the S.T.A.R.S. police force. These are the following positions of each team:
Mission Leader (Field Commander of the team)
Pointman (Field scouting and reconnaissance)
Backup Man (Provides assistance to the Pointman)
Omni Man (In charge of Vehicle and Weapon maintenance)
Rear Secuirity (In charge of establishing contact between the headquarters and the helicopter, as well as treating injured imnates)

Equipment and Weaponary[]
S.T.A.R.S. are provided with many useful equipment and weaponary throughout their missions. During the Mansion incedint: Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Rebecca Chambers had tasers AKA the Stun Guns. In the Arklay Regioun, both Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers were equipt with Flash Grenades.
